Why don't they do this with inbound? I'd love to have google field all incoming calls that aren't in my address book like this.

I think Google is way ahead in terms of voice - much more than Amazon. Who would've sen this coming?

Pros:

Amazing

Cons:

Still needs more development

it will be more Abused than Used..

Pros:

you will gain the 2.5 minutes that it took to schedule a appointment at the salon

Cons:

Caribbean cruises, IRS, Credit card APR, Hyatt Hotels, You don't know what else it will be used for except the salon

Awesome! How many language do they support?
Doesn't seem like it actually solves a problem people have?
It is amazing.Just needs upgrade for more functionality

This could be a fantastic tool for people working on online directories like me. Can’t wait for the API options to be open so I can use it to free up my time from contacting breweries one by one and asking simple binary questions to populate online business location profiles.

Pros:

Huge time saver

Cons:

Worried about it being used for telemarketing

Look like we officially passed the Turing test.
"Ok Google, stop the HVAC and CRA spam calls I get 5x / day. Good Google."
This just supports restaurant reservation, haircut appointment & few other use cases, which are highly irrelevant in countries like india, the most prevalent mode of availing such services are walk-ins
