Wow, they shipped an app icon with truncated title text.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who noticed this. Wow, Google.
I know it's only a small detail, but it would annoy me a ton so I am sticking with Sunrise.
Worse: on the French store, the app name is different...
So does it read "Google Age..."?!
Haha I just downloaded it and was trying to figure out how to fix that. Only now it's a year later...
Any word on where there will be a desktop app for Mac that looks this awesome? I just added this to my phone and would love to be consistent across all platforms. (Using iCal on my mac 😕 )
Now that Sunrise has been acquired, it's good to see Google finally release this!
This app misses a primary use case for me: seeing event attendees' schedules so I can schedule meetings for work. We're on Google Apps so I was excited when I saw this app, but Google didn't include this important feature.
I've had so much trouble with Google Calendar integrations into the native iOS calendar, this is such a welcome app. Unfortunately, I found this nearly impossible to find in the Apple Store, even searching "Google Calendar" did not return this result. Anyone else have this issue? Had to go through PH to find it in the itunes store.
Had the same problem! Had to open Chrome on my phone while the Google Calendar iOS tab was open to access it...
The app is beautiful — so excited about this release!
Wow, it's about time—and aptly timed given Microsoft's recent acquisition of Sunrise. I've been using Sunrise myself for the past few years, but since all my calendars are already managed by and sourced from Google products, I have a feeling I'll be using Google Calendar for iOS from here on out. It is slick. I'm a huge fan of material design.
And yet again you can't change the calendar of an existing event.
you can try my app, DoNext, if you need to change calendar and much more. Like here, it synchs with all calendars (Google, iCloud, Exchange, Yahoo), integrates with to-dos and reminders in one unified view, and much more. Calendar apps have still so many unnecessary limitations...
Looks great! The battle begins... Sunrise vs Google Calendar.

I use Google Calendar to schedule my day and to plan all the events and meetings. There is one great option for - Google Calendar integration with TMetric, this allows me to track time spent on various activities

Pros:

A lot of integrations, calendar reminders, usability

Cons:

none
