I first thought about how awesome it is and how I can leverage it as a business owner. My attention immediately shifted to how hard I might get spammed as a consumer. Yikes.
Interesting/Important for a closed loop UX. Great next step!
More importantly, I feel like Chrome is using way less power now than it used to. Still experimenting though. Anyone else seen something similar?
I see this as a huge win for web technologies. If done right, it can remove a huge advantage native apps have over the web. Does anyone know if these push notifications exist in the Chrome mobile apps too?
Finally.
Service Workers, Cache API and Push API is such a big deal for the web. Just hope we'll see them in mobile Safari some day.
