Building high-quality AI translation for long, serious documents

Hi Product Hunt,
I’m building GoodTrans, an AI translation workflow for long, serious documents.
Most AI translation tools work well for short text. But long documents are a different problem.
When you translate a PDF, research paper, business document, technical manual, or long article, quality is not just about whether each sentence sounds fluent.
The real problems are:
- terminology drifting across sections
- missing paragraphs or headings
- names, numbers, links, and tables changing
- document structure getting damaged
- translations that read smoothly but are hard to trust
- no easy way to review the result side by side
GoodTrans is built for this use case.
It turns PDFs, Markdown, TXT, and pasted text into editable translations with:
- long-document translation workflow
- terminology guidance
- bilingual review output
- quality report
- editable Markdown / TXT files
- async email delivery
Our goal is simple:
High-quality AI translation for long documents, delivered in a form people can actually review and use.
We’re launching soon, and I’d love feedback from anyone who works with serious documents: founders, researchers, translators, technical writers, international teams, or people dealing with PDFs in another language.
What would make you trust an AI translation tool for a long document?
Would you want to see before/after samples, bilingual review files, quality reports, or something else?
