Do productivity apps sometimes make you feel less productive?

by

I built Gentle Structure because I kept noticing something strange about productivity apps: the more features they added, the more managing the system started to feel like another task.

Gentle Structure takes the opposite approach. It focuses on a few priorities for the day, simple tasks, habits, mood, focused work sessions and reflection, without trying to turn every part of your life into a dashboard.

The idea is to give you enough structure to move forward without making you feel behind when you don't use everything perfectly.

I'm curious about other people's experience:

What usually makes you stop using a productivity or planning app?

Too many features? Too much setup? Notifications? Streak pressure? Or something else?

I'd genuinely love to hear what works for you and what doesn't. I'm still shaping Gentle Structure around that problem.
