Predictions 2025 for Product Hunt and product directories

Please, take it with a grain of salt. PH already gave some beta-testers a verification badge due to bots: We can expect to be more cautious with whom we will interact in 2025. There will be a diversity in directories: As there are more and more products, companies or individuals will try to find ways to improve their marketing, visibility, and SEO  so they will start uploading to more PH-similar platforms. People start being cautious about launches. I have already received the same question from several people: "How can I make it to the "Featured" category?" People will start making differentiable products. (Hope so.) Do you have your own reckons?

Lessons Learned from Building Agents

PH builders: what are key lessons you ve learned whether technical or product or GTM from building agents? This is still such a new discipline that it would be great to share amongst this community of builders.

I ll kick off with an experience that had us scratching our heads for months last year

Lessons I learned from previous Product Hunt launch 🚀

Check out these tips from my own experiences. Let me know your own tips & tricks.   Be well-prepared: Be aware of what you are going to do through 3 stages: Pre-launch, Launching and Days after launching. My team will prepare a calendar, a launching checklist and content list for both Discussions and Pitch Stories. All materials need to be ready before posting the first discussion.  Content Direction: Product Hunt is kinda different from other marketplaces. The content topics need to be authentic and unique, that can engage with the whole community.  Leverage your network: Engage with the community on Product Hunt and across various channels before the launch to leverage your network to gather support and feedback. Don't wait until the launch day to announce your product. Engage with your email subscribers, social media followers, and industry influencers by sending teasers and sneak peeks prior to the launch. This generates buzz and increases the chances of securing initial upvotes and engagement.  Launch Time: Choose peak hours of Product Hunt  Engage actively during launch: Show gratitude for upvotes and create a dialogue that encourages users to explore your product further.  Take it easy: View your Product Hunt launch as a learning experience. Analyze the feedback, engagement, and metrics gathered during the campaign, and use them to fine-tune your product and marketing strategy for future launches.

Bolt vs Lovable, which do you prefer?

Currently playing around with @bolt.new after being inspired by @gabe and building a bunch of mini apps, mainly for fun. Haven't pushed any to production yet but so far I'm enjoying it bar the odd hiccup where I have to roll back a few times to fix a stubborn error.

I've also looked into @Lovable and it seems pretty cool but wanted to see what people had to say about it. Is there any reason to pick one over the other and which one have you settled on?

What I learned launching my solo SaaS on PH last week

Hey PH.

Launched Briefance here last week. Solo founder, Istanbul, no team, no investors. Wanted to share what actually happened instead of the usual "thank you so much" post.

Quick context: Briefance turns chaotic client emails into structured briefs. Freelancer target. Paste the mess, get scope, timeline, budget, and follow up questions in ten seconds. Free tier has 3 briefs, no card needed.

Here's what the launch week taught me.

How are you using AI in your design workflow today?

AI tools are becoming a standard part of the design workflow from generating UI ideas to writing copy and speeding up iterations.

In my experience, they re great for exploration and saving time, but they also tend to push outputs toward similar patterns and solutions. It feels like the more we rely on them, the more important our own taste and judgment become.

Do you still believe in SEO?

Hi there! I've been working in content marketing & SEO for almost a decade - and while I've seen many announcements of the death of SEO, the current search climate, combined with the latest announcements from Google are strong signals that SEO may (finally ) be over.

What do you think? Is "answer engine optimization" the answer?
