What's the best gift you've ever received? 🎁

by
As holiday shopping gets into full swing (and we gear up to launch Outdone V2 next week!!), we'd love to know what your favorite or most memorable gift was. For me, it was my first big bike — a dark green Mongoose with black pegs. I remember being so pumped to see it sitting in the garage. It was so much more than a bike, it was a ticket to freely explore the whole neighborhood with my friends. What was it for you? And while you’re here, don’t forget to sign up to be notified when Outdone V2 officially launches next Monday!

That's a really tough one, probably a piece of jewellery that was handed down to me
handed down jewelry is such a great/meaningful gift
That must be the RTX 3060Ti I bought for my one-year-old daughter
haha nice!
It is so tough to tell the best out of all (maybe because I am surrounded by great gifters or I am too old), but I could pick two: 1. A letter that my best friend wrote to me expressing how much she loved me. We obviously expressed this in our actions but rarely do best friends ever say it in words. 2. A friend gifted me a spa coupon when my son was born. That was so thoughtful. I was so tired with early mommy duties and that spa day was much needed. Especially coming from a person who wasn't a parent themselves made me feel that they really cared about what I must be going through. Love the other responses here. Gives a bunch of good ideas for gifting the next time.
a recurring theme here is thoughtfulness — definitely can't argue with that! I know there are a few letters I've held onto over the years that mean the world to me.
Any handmade gift received on my birthday
handmade gifts are always a winner!
I received a Bonsai tree for my birthday a long time ago. I really cherished it.
wow, I've always wanted a bonsai tree! That's a great gift. If you've ever received a really strange gift, we'd love to hear about it here —>
A pianola for my 21st birthday!
the gift of music!
I have received a lot of gifts but the most dearest one was made by nephews who unexpectedly get to know it was my birthday & created something from scratch on plain paper & presented it to me. It may not be that valuable, but it just touched me.
that's gotta be a great feeling!
Mine was definitely a pair of pink pants that my mom bought me when I was 9.
everyone can use a good pair of pink pants
A great financial advice 😉
great answer! More people should gift this 🤠
When we first moved to snowy Scandinavia (from sunny South Africa), I spotted a beautiful snuggly winter coat in a department store. It was love at first sight 😍. We were beyond broke at the time, but my man managed to scrape the money together to buy it for me for Christmas. It's still my fav six years later.
that's so sweet. I'm sure you're reminded of how you felt at the time every time you go to wear it!
on the flip side, have you ever received a really strange gift? We're discussing that over here now —
