What is the strangest thing you schedule time for in your calendar?

If you live and breathe by your calendar, what do you block time for beyond the usual meetings and events?

Calling my grandma, watering my plants, and replacing water in my bug out bag.
The internet just gave a collective awwwwwww with that first one! 😍
I've got surfing booked in πŸ˜… 🌊
Yeah, you've got your priorities right
hah I do the same for the months I work remote! And leaving it open for my team to see that I'm surfing (not just "busy" status) because I want people to see the reason and that it's okay to block time for these things.
Yes, for sure - don't sneak around! If you're doing it, it's for your productivity and overall balance :)
My birthdayπŸ˜…
πŸ˜… it would be awkward to forget that! Hope that means you take the day off!
Picking up my kid from school :)
don't want to forget that! 😬 (I do the same, but it's mostly to remind others that I can't take meetings at that time!)
Watering flowers. Not sure if anybody else does this -))))
my husband does this too! Unlike me, he doesn't kill the plants in our house so I guess there is something to it!

Buying conditioner? adulting amirite...
remember being a kid and thinking being an adult was going to so glamorous and cool. Yep, and here we are, scheduling time to buy conditioner.

Listening to a book on audible πŸ˜…
well don't leave us hanging. What are you reading?
Currently listening to mystery of capital by Hernando de Soto (intriguing book)
I see a lot of people reacting with things that they no not want to forget. But do not forget also that planning things in your calendar, also gives you a grip of your time. Time is the only thing that is really limited, and everyone has the same amount of it. So allocating time for actions, tasks gives you the ability to use your time in the best way. Lunch seems funny to plan. Why would you forget. But it also blocks that time to do other things during that moment.
I couldn't agree more with your perspective on the importance of allocating your time where it matters. I find it interesting how much our calendars have gone from being just events, to also being a way to prioritize and protect time. I was watching a video the other day on the importance of building rest and recovery moments in our day after cognitively intense work sessions in the same way we would after an intense workout. I think there's something to it.
