What do you think Product Hunt is missing? What would you improve?
I absolutely love this platform.
The fact that I spend time here every single day is probably proof enough. 😄
That said, after spending so much time on Product Hunt, I've noticed a few basic things that I personally miss:
the ability to bookmark discussions
the option to add someone to a discussion forum as a co-creator
option to revisit “products I interacted with but forgot about” (or something like a reminder)
scheduling a post
I also kind of miss the old "Notify Me" page – I know, I'm being very nostalgic here 😄
I'm curious:
If you could add, remove, or improve one feature on Product Hunt, what would it be? (I remember that many of you used to ask for a DMs option)

The biggest improvement for me would be a better way to revisit products and discussions I interacted with. Sometimes you upvote, comment, or check a product with real interest, but after the daily feed moves on, it becomes hard to find it again.

@farrukh_butt1 Aaa, so you mean something like a summary, right? What purpose would it serve for you?
That's a nice question. In addition to the points others have already commented, I 'd suggested:
A improved support center. I've found extremely hard to contact support via email
A list of products I'm interested in, I have to save products in my computer, it would be nice to have a list with the product I liked the most
A better text box. After adding a numbered list, I can't format the text that follows it

@matheusdsantosr_dev Actually, you can add some products to favourites:
Every launch has it.
A "launching soon" status for products that are actively being built something between a profile and a full launch. Right now you're either live or invisible. A lot of builders are in the middle: product exists, not ready to launch, but would love early signal. A soft-launch mode with a waitlist button would be huge.

@mpanpalli Some people tho said that it is a good thing for filtering out the noise (or products that already appeared here in some form) before.
@busmark_w_nika Fair point the noise concern is real. Maybe it only makes sense with a verified "actively building" signal, not just anyone adding a coming-soon page.
I'm relatively new to PH, and for me it's important to build my own community and get to know more makers and hunters.
When I receive a notification that someone has upvoted my thread or comment, I want to interact with that person, visit their profile, learn about their interests, and potentially follow them.
Currently, notifications only take me back to the thread or comment that was upvoted, and I can't see who the upvoters are. For me, this limits my ability to connect with people and grow my community on PH.

@adana True that. Sometimes I want to see the profile of the person. One more – I would like to have more strict authentification of the people, so I would be sure that they are humans :)
@busmark_w_nika Agreed. I think LinkedIn and X provide more signals to assess authenticity (workplace, connections, verification, activity).
Hi, I'm new to the platform and still finding my way. While I love how it works from what I have understood so far, the customer support could definitely be improved.

@fatima_shehzad I think that in that case they would need more people on the board :)
@busmark_w_nika That would be nice....:)
The list I'd get to PH for maximizing user satisfaction:
Bookmarking + Saved Discussions
Interaction History / Product Memory
Better Notifications
Teaser Pages & Launching Soon Features
Co-Creators & Co-Hunters
Improved Analytics
Post Scheduling
Better Support Chat
Job Board / Hiring Section
Follow-Up Product Updates ("What Happened Next?")
More Forum Categories
Better Feed Filters
Community Events
Gamification

@robincostmyai I would wish to have more complex data too. Definitely would help it with marketing actvities later :)
Relax the rules for posting polls or questions. I tried three or four times to start a question and was rejected. So, I have found more freedom on other sites.

@dstr88 At least, some suggestions would be helpful how to be approved :)
I think really, for us, it was the way when we did a launch, we were hounded by people trying to get us to go with them. So I don't know really how you would stop that.

@paul_clevett What do you mean now? :)
As a designer, I'd say the UX is a bit confusing. Even though there are guidelines for how to do certain things, I'd really appreciate a more straightforward flow. I'm about to launch a platform myself soon, and I don't yet have a perfect plan for how to execute it here.

@kim_lindberg_adable Do you refer only to a web app or also a mobile app?
@busmark_w_nika You mean if i refer to launch on this platform or with my platform?
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@kim_lindberg_adable I am referring to Product Hunt – because Product Hunt has a mobile app too. But I mostly use browser app on desktop.
