Online teaching has a "tool sprawl" problem — how are you solving it?
Over the past few weeks I've been talking to online tutors and teachers about
their weekly workflow, and one pattern stood out: most run their entire teaching
business across 4-6 disconnected tools.
A typical stack:
• Zoom for live lessons
• Google Classroom / Drive for materials
• A spreadsheet for payments & attendance
• A separate app (or nothing) for recordings
• WhatsApp / Telegram for parent comms
The teaching itself isn't the hard part — it's the glue work between tools. One
tutor told me she loses ~5 hours a week to admin that isn't teaching.
Curious what the PH community thinks:
• If you (or someone you know) teaches online, does this match your experience?
• Have you found a stack that actually works well together?
• Where would consolidation help most — payments, recordings, scheduling?
Genuinely trying to understand the space. Would love your take 🙏
