Is it just me or are simple Web apps getting way too Noisy?

I opened a tool earlier just to copy a snippet of text.

Before I could even highlight the text an assistant widget popped up a top banner reminded me about a webinar and a tool tip tried to tour me through what's new.

The interface itself was very clean and polished. But the constant interruptions made it painful to use.

A clean layout loses all its value the second you start blocking the user with constant popups and notifications.
