Set a bunch of strict rules for myself when starting out about keeping things simple and never taking quick shortcuts.
A couple years in half of those rules are gone because real life hit and decisions got way more complicated.
How do you tell if you're just adjusting to real business needs or actually losing your original vision?

for me the key is knowing which rules really matters and which ones were just ideas i had early on,
I've changed some of my early rules too. Real users showed me things i never exppected at the start.
I've seen products slowly turn into services because of this. Staying close to the original product goal is probably the hardest part.
