How do you keep track of recurring tools and subscriptions?

by

I’m curious how other makers handle recurring payments across work and personal life.

Do you audit them monthly, use a bank alert, keep a spreadsheet, or mostly notice only when a renewal hits?

I’ve found the hard part isn’t a single expensive tool; it’s the small services that keep renewing after you stop using them. What system has actually worked for you?

I try to keep everything in one place and do a quick review when I feel is the right time. Anyway, I usually don't spend on subscription services alot. But I know the biggest savings usually come from the small subscriptions you forgot about, not the expensive ones you use every day.

Exactly. The subscriptions we use every day usually feel worth it, so we notice them. It’s the “I’ll cancel this later” ones that become invisible. Do you have any trigger for doing that review, like a bank alert, a particular time each month, or only when you spot a charge?

not really, only personal note at most, since the number of my subscription services are really small, so I'll just keep in mind.

that makes sense, when the number is small, a note is probably simpler than adding another tool.

I’m curious about the maker side though, do you keep a separate system for the tools and subscriptions involved in running WebCurate, or is that still easy enough to manage with your mental muscles?
