For those of you who work behind a computer: do you ever take a full day completely offline?

I realized I probably couldn't stay away from the internet for an entire day. :D

Partly because I want to keep my Product Hunt streak, but also because:

  • I try to nurture my community and engage with them every day (essential for growing).

  • I handle customer support daily.

  • Missing important news from the tech world gives me FOMO.

To compensate, I spend time outdoors, go into nature, and stay active through sports. But I know that disconnecting from the internet for a full day would probably do wonders for my eyes, focus, posture, and overall well-being.

Are you able to go completely offline?

If so, for how long? And if you've managed to reduce your online time, I'd love to hear your tips. 😄

Every day! In between tasks, before tasks, and after tasks. Maybe not realistic sometimes to be fully offline, but I find that getting up and taking breaks and touching grass also helps me to keep going, gives me a fresh brain to tackle anything that needs to be done, and keeps me active. It is a must.

Honestly no, and building FounderFlow made me more aware of why: most of what pulls me back isn't urgent, it just feels urgent because nothing's telling me otherwise. Getting a tool to actually rank what matters was the only thing that's made stepping away feel safe instead of risky.

A full day is honestly hard 😂 Even when I’m not working, I still end up checking something.

I’ve found it easier to just have parts of the day where I’m completely offline instead of trying to disappear for 24 hours. Going outside or doing something where I can’t really sit and scroll helps a lot.

The hardest part is the “I’ll just check one thing” habit. That one thing somehow becomes 45 minutes.
