Do you think that AI-generated comments make communities like Product Hunt a better place?

by
We've seen a lot of growth in AI comment generators lately – auto-creating comments and replies based on available info. Do you think apps like these are positive or detrimental to community-focused platforms like Product Hunt? Fwiw, we're aware that many folks are already choosing to use these kinds of services on Product Hunt. We're actively working on ways to address it, but I'm curious how our community feels about this type of engagement. Please vote (and explain your thoughts)!

Product Hunt is a place for personalities and qualitative products. I think it is still a safe haven from bot like messages and replies

Pft, nah. Not sure what the point of generating content via AI anyways lol.

It's a slippery slope. AI in its current form doesn't capture experience very well. While it can draft a statement or a comment, I am unsure how well it will capture the true depths of any interaction/ experience.

No, A community with real humans makes sense.

It's not something I'm a fan of. If I want AI powered comments, I can just write questions directly to ChatGPT.

There are so many benefits to generative AI tools - becoming a virtual member of the community to provide opinion is not one of them. That said, it does have utility when and if it is providing complex analytics. I believe it must be obvious it is machine work product, and does not pose as a person. I have totally lost trust in LinkedIn because of the army of bots that spam me everyday. As a newbie here I would hate auto generated comments that to spoil what has been a great experience getting to know the community on Product Hunt.

I want a community with REAL human beings behind their accounts. If I wanted to chat randomly with bots I would've done that elsewhere.
