Do you keep charts in blog posts as images or live embeds?

I work on articles where the numbers change after publication. A chart can be clear on day one and misleading a month later if nobody updates it. I'm also looking at how it reads on a phone.

For those who publish charts, do you use static images or live embeds, and what makes one easier to maintain?
