Curious: biggest gaps you’ve felt in launch marketing (video/creative side)?

by

Hi all,

I’m a commercial videographer who’s been geeking out over SaaS and new tech for a while now. I’m starting to explore how my background in video might fit into the SaaS world, and I’d love to learn from people here who’ve actually been through launches.

From what I’ve seen so far, two common struggles seem to pop up:

• Explaining the product clearly: A lot of SaaS landing pages or demos end up heavy on text but don’t actually show how the product works in a way a new user “gets it.”

• Standing out at launch: I’ve noticed plenty of SaaS launches where the product is solid, but the creative (video, visuals, storytelling) feels like an afterthought compared to the dev work.

What I’d love to know is: where do you usually feel the biggest struggles with marketing during pre-launch, launch, or post-launch? And do you think video or creative support could’ve made things easier/better?

Not here to pitch or promote, just genuinely trying to understand where someone like me could be useful in the SaaS space.

Would really appreciate any stories, insights, or even “we tried this and it flopped” type of lessons.
