Anyone else feel burned out by heavy Task Managers?

by

I used to move everything through Trello columns daily.

It worked for a while, but over time, the setup became cluttered. Managing the boards took more energy than completing the items on them.

I ended up switching to a much lighter, minimal checklist setup that just stays out of my way.

what did you replace it with? Did a simpler app work better, or did you drop task management tools entirely?

We use , but manage most of it through ChatGPT.

We have created custom ChatGPT skills that define different types of work, how it should be structured, due dates, required information, labels, priority and assignee, which works for us. ChatGPT then uses Linear's MCP integration to update directly

Making projects in Linear also helped us a lot structuring our issues and tasks

Use .. It has embedded trackers and task managers that are agent-native. Agent configures. Agent takes care of most of it. You can visually work with them as well. Integrated with your sessions and your file editing.
