3 UX bottlenecks we caught before launching our SaaS
Hey Product Hunt community!
As our team prepares to launch our first SaaS product built entirely in-house, we spent the last week running end-to-end usability tests on our onboardings and product assets.
Coming from an engineering background, we initially focused heavily on code stability. But user testing quickly showed us that UX friction kills conversion faster than minor backend bugs.
3 specific things we had to fix before going public:
1. Over-complicated onboarding: Reduced 5 signup steps down to 2 by delaying profile customization until after the first core action.
2. Interactive demo over static screenshots: Replaced standard hero images with a 15-second interactive walkthrough.
3. In-app feedback widget: Added a 1-click feedback button on every dashboard page so launch-day users can report issues instantly.
I’d love to hear from fellow builders and makers:
👉 What is one UX bottleneck or launch asset issue you only caught right before going public?
