1 month post-launch: How do you build initial site authority & get your first real backlinks?

by

Hey everyone!

It’s been officially 1 month since I launched my website on Google. Things are running smoothly on the product side, but SEO-wise, I’ve hit a brick wall.

Right now, my Moz Domain Authority (DA) is stuck at 1, and I haven't managed to earn a single organic backlink yet.

For those who have been through the early-stage SEO grind:

  • First Backlinks: How did you secure your very first high-quality, non-spammy backlinks?

  • Brand Building: What are the most effective strategies to start building brand awareness and trust from absolute zero?

  • Cold Outreach vs. Content: Did cold outreach for guest posts/resource pages work for you, or did you focus purely on creating linkable assets?

Would love to hear your experiences, brutal truths, or any actionable tips for a fresh site! Thanks in advance! 🙌

conoisitency mattered more than volume. I kept publishing every week, shared each post in niche communities, and slowly earned mentions from people who actually found the content useful.

May I ask how long it took before you started seeing results? It’s been a month for me already, and it’s tough since most websites don’t allow brand mentions or promotional content (with bots that filter out)
