Future Minds Fund - Enable students to support themselves during COVID-19

Hey everyone, at ScholarshipOwl our mission is to help students graduate debt free. COVID-19 has hurt us all, and we see firsthand how hard this period is for students. We try to help as much as we can, and that's why we launched our own scholarships to help students cover their income loss because of COVID-19, and help them setup their homes to study in isolation... and we received over 7,000 applications in 1 weekend! Unfortunately, we cannot help all of them by ourselves. And that is why we created our non-profit organisation "Future Minds Fund". Our goal is to match at least 1,000 students with 1,000 scholarships. By leveraging the technology we already had at ScholarhipOwl.com and Scholarship.app, we have developed the first crowd-funding platform that allows giving direct financial support to students through scholarships. On this platform, you can see the students' stories, see what they struggle with, and donate directly to them. All the funds from the donation will go directly to the chosen student. Alternatively, you can donate to the fund, and we will distribute it to the students ourselves. All the donations are tax-deductible thanks to our partnership with the Players Philanthropy Fund, a 501(c)3 non profit organisation. We hope this platform will ensure that the students of today will become the doctors, engineers and the leaders of tomorrow.

This is great to see, in such a tough time for so many students! I love the fact that I can donate straight to a student, ideally someone from my hometown and see them succeed! The filter is a great feature!

Love the idea. Best of luck for the project! Just a side thought - maybe some additional section with "the most heartbreaking stories" would help to emphasize the gravity of the project and the overall funding idea?
