Building a fitness app that plans meals around your fridge — happy to chat before launch Tuesday

by

Hey Product Hunt! Launching ForgeHealth next Tuesday and wanted to introduce myself early.

I'm a paramedic who built this app because I was frustrated with fitness apps that just log what you do but don't help you figure out what to eat based on what you actually have at home.

The feature I'm most proud of is Fridge Mode — you add ingredients from your fridge and the AI generates your meal plan around them. No random recipes, no extra grocery runs.

Would love to hear from anyone who's struggled with the same problem or has questions about how it works. Happy to chat before launch day!

As someone with a background in Human Nutrition, I can tell you that the biggest barrier to staying consistent with a meal plan isn’t lack of willpower,it’s the decision fatigue and complex grocery lists. A 'Fridge Mode' that reduces food waste and works with what's already available is an absolute game changer.

Thank you for the feedback! I wanted an app that would help keep track of meals and also help with meal planning.

That's a solid approach, Nate. Apps like Supercook or Mealime do bits and pieces of this, but having tracking and AI-driven planning integrated so smoothly into one interface is exactly what's missing. Can't wait to see your take on it!
