Hello Product Hunt,
I'm excited to introduce Focus Lock.
Focus Lock was born from a simple idea: staying focused shouldn't be a constant battle. Whether you're studying, working, or building something important, the goal is to help you spend more time on what matters and less time getting distracted.
With Focus Lock, you can:
Block distracting websites during focus sessions.
Track your focus with built-in analytics and insights.
Create personalized focus rules that fit your workflow.
Build consistent productivity habits over time.
This is the first public release, and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Every piece of feedback whether it's about usability, features, or bugs will help shape the future of Focus Lock.
Thank you for checking it out and for supporting the launch. I hope Focus Lock becomes a tool that genuinely helps you do your best work.

Love that everything runs locally, it feels like the app actually respects my data instead of just saying it does. The YouTube filter surprised me by being surprisingly effective at hiding the rabbit holes I usually fall into.

@mtepki52730 Thank you! Keeping everything local was one of the main goals from the beginning. I'm really glad the YouTube filters have been useful for you.

One thing that would really help is a "focus session recap" that shows which apps or sites tried to pull you back in during a block. The local analytics angle is great but right now it's hard to see exactly where the temptation is coming from day to day.

@yusuf363917 Thanks for the suggestion! A focus session recap with more detailed insights is a great idea. I'll definitely keep it in mind for a future update.

Love that the analytics stay on-device. Voluntary enforcement is a refreshing angle compared to the usual subscription-walled blockers out there.

One thing I'd love to see is a "focus session recap" email or notification that summarizes what I blocked and what slipped through, so I can adjust my rules for the next session. Would make the local analytics way more actionable.

The local-only approach to analytics is a really thoughtful choice, especially for something meant to protect your focus time. Nice to see a tool that respects privacy without making it feel like a compromise on usefulness.
