Hi Product Hunt 👋 I've created Flowly to offer an independent and affordable alternative for hosting your no-code products. Webflow only for now, but more platforms will be added later. Why Flowly? Because let's face it, no-code platforms have brought tremendous value for makers. But many are rightly worried about vendor lock-ins and the risk of ever-increasing prices. Having the choice to host your no-code products elsewhere is healthy for the no-code market dynamics, and that's why I've created Flowly. The offer is simple: Affordable Webflow hosting, backed by the reliable infrastructure of Netlify (AWS and Google Cloud). It works by connecting or uploading your Webflow site. Any changes you make within Webflow will be synced to your custom domain hosted with Flowly. You can either use the Webflow preview link for syncs, or a manual upload of your exported site. For today's launch, we're offering an additional 50% discount on all hosting plans. This means you can host a basic site for as little as $4.50 per month, or $9 for CMS-enabled Webflow sites! The offer with code 'FLOWLY50OFF' is valid for those who join the waitlist before 21 February 2023.

Hi Nick! Loving the idea. I am a bit worried though - this app reminds me of Stacket, which worked by connected a webhook to your Webflow website. It was shut down by Webflow for violating their terms of service. Could you explain how this app does things differently?
Nick van den Berg
@jan_willem_wessels Good question. I wasn’t aware of Stacket until now, but to my understanding, end-users are owner of their site and should have the right to host it elsewhere. Users are paying Webflow and have the ability to export their site. So in a way, they’re facilitating this use case already.
Derek Castelli
@jan_willem_wessels yeah they violated the Webflow Acceptable Use Policy which is here: https://webflow.com/legal/aup
Derek Castelli
@nvdb31 yes but owning content and data is different than actively scraping what’s on Webflow. What you do with your export is yours. But, you’re essentially using the Webflow tech to scrap and repurpose on your end. Just wanted to give you, again, a heads up before any storms come your way 👍🏻

@nvdb31 @heyderekj I'm glad you mentioned something because I was thinking the same thing. Both Stacket and CryoLayer seemed to be the same as this and Webflow came after them. Not sure how you would keep the project "synced" without violating their TOS. It's one thing to export elsewhere, but it seems to me they have limited that (no CMS etc) so as to keep the use case limited.

Awesome alternative to Webflow! Good luck!

I may be wrong, but I think this goes against Webflow’s Terms of Service. Just a heads up ;)

@nvdb31 Congrats on the Launch. I was just recently planning to build exactly this and not just for web flow but this can be done for a couple of other platforms. Also, I think in your pricing plan remove the cms option because I am guessing that's something you won't be able to provide I guess. If you need to collab to build this or need help with the backend let me know I am definitely interested in building something like this .
Nick van den Berg
@rishi_ambwani Thanks Rishi! Well the plan is for users to be able to easily take over the content (statically) that is shown on the preview site. And for the future, Flowly might offer options to use a built-in CMS (or other features) as an alternative for Webflow. I'll reach out to you to discuss options to collaborate!

It sounds like an amazing product with lots of great features. I'm sure it will become a great asset to many organizations. Best of luck @nvdb31

@hadia_khawar07 Thanks Hadia!

Looks promising! Are there any risks that Webflow may ban my site?
Bjorn Heesakkers
Congrats with the launch. Good to see the no-code space opening up with alternatives for hosting!
Nick van den Berg
@bheesakkers That's what I think as well. Thanks Bjorn ;-)

interesting!

Congrats! This is a great idea! I was just on Webflow the other day and realized how high the individual site hosting packages have raised in price. Webflow is a great service and I don't mind paying premiums but when running an agency the pricing adds up!
