Floot Payments - Take payments in apps you build in ChatGPT and Claude
by•
Floot apps can now take real money. Ask your AI in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor for "a $9/month plan", "a checkout for this course" or "shipping labels for my orders", and Floot sets it up: subscriptions with a billing page, one-time payments, tickets and deposits, coupons and refunds, plus shipping with live rates, labels and tracking. Runs on Stripe, no API keys or webhooks. Test free in preview, go live when you publish.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Surya here, I run growth at Floot.
I've helped launch a lot of products on this site, and I've watched the same thing happen again and again. Someone builds something people want, then stalls at the last step: getting paid. Stripe accounts, API keys, webhooks, a billing page. That's where good ideas quietly die.
I'm not an engineer. So when the team showed me I could type "add a $9/month plan" in ChatGPT and have a working checkout a minute later, it changed what I think a marketer can ship alone.
What you can do today:
→ subscriptions with a billing page your customers manage
→ one-time payments, tickets and deposits
→ coupons and refunds
→ shipping labels and tracking for physical products
Test it all free in preview with a test card. Nothing to set up.
Two asks: tell us what you'd sell first, and what's missing. We read every comment and ship fast.
@trulysurya @tristanpollock ok this is exactly the kind of thing we want to see built 😄 the deposits + checkout side you could genuinely spin up in one chat. if you try it, please come back and show us
@trulysurya @tristanpollock a syndicate built in one chat would be a great Floot app 😄 if you try it, share the link here
Hi @trulysurya and team good luck with the launch
Quick question: what's your main advantage over replit or lovable?
@kauzovich_anastasiya thanks Anastasiya! a few things people like most:
1. Floot runs inside ChatGPT and Claude, so building uses the subscription you already pay for, not extra AI credits
2. everything a real app needs is built in: backend, database, logins, hosting, and now payments and shipping
3. no keys or webhooks to wire up, you just ask and it's done
curious, what would you build first?
@trulysurya @kauzovich_anastasiya you get to use your own agent instead of lovable/replit forcing one on you, so it's a lot cheaper, it has way more context on you and you can easily switch agents any time.
@trulysurya @kauzovich_anastasiya thank you Anastasiya! 🙏 the one-liner for me: you bring your own agent (ChatGPT/Claude) instead of paying for ours, and payments/shipping now work out of the box. good luck right back at you!
@trulysurya @kauzovich_anastasiya for me it's the agent choice. Claude or ChatGPT is already smarter than any built-in builder agent, and Floot gives it a backend, database and hosting to work with
congrats team! does it work the same inside claude and cursor or is chatgpt the main one for now?
@grege_rodrigues1 thanks Grege! it works the same in ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. Floot connects as an MCP connector, so you can build and add payments from whichever one you already use. which one are you on?
@grege_rodrigues1 it works with any AI agents that connects to MCP!
@grege_rodrigues1 jumping in with Surya and Yuj — I build in Claude every day and it's the exact same flow. thanks for the congrats Grege! 💛
@grege_rodrigues1 I build mostly in Claude Code myself, and it's the same Floot tools everywhere. Pick whichever chat you live in
Nice! Not needing any Stripe keys or Webhooks to set up is awesome.
@thisiskp_ thanks KP! that was the whole idea, getting paid shouldn't need a weekend of stripe setup. means a lot coming from the Netlify side 🙌
@thisiskp_ That's the vision here where we give you one cloud with 0 set up
@thisiskp_ thank you KP! 💛 "no keys, no webhooks" was basically the whole spec for this one. huge compliment coming from Netlify
@thisiskp_ thanks KP! Coming from Netlify that means a lot. Deploys were simple for a long time, and payments should be too
Congrats on the launch! I'm curious how this gets around the OpenAI plugin guidelines that prohibit payments/commerce for anything other than physical products. I've had a few plugins denied by OpenAI due to this rule (referenced below).
Currently, plugins may conduct commerce only for physical goods. Selling digital products or services—including subscriptions, digital content, tokens, or credits—is not allowed, whether offered directly or indirectly (for example, through freemium upsells).
@clayton_correia The commerce rule is about the plugin selling things inside ChatGPT. With Floot Payments, the app a user builds takes payments from its own customers on its own website. Nothing is bought inside ChatGPT.
@clayton_correia really good question — what Yuj said is the key bit: nothing is sold inside ChatGPT itself. the checkout lives on the app's own site with its own Stripe setup, ChatGPT is just where you build it. sorry you've hit that wall with plugins before 😅 thanks for asking the hard one!
@clayton_correia right, the checkout runs on your app's own domain with its own Stripe account, so ChatGPT is only the build tool. Sorry those plugin rejections cost you time
@clayton_correia this is a good point- as long as purchases are made outside of ChatGPT (in this case, within your separate web app) then it's all good :)
finally an AI app builder that thinks about the "how do i make money from this" part. congrats on the launch 🚀
@iamarnob6543 thanks Arnob! that was exactly the idea, an app that can't take money is still a side project 😄 what would you sell first?
@iamarnob6543 thank you!
@iamarnob6543 thank you Arnob! 🚀 "side project → actual business" is exactly the jump we wanted to close. congrats on everything at Olvy too!
@iamarnob6543 thank you Arnob! Making money from the app is the part we want to feel boring and easy
big fan of what you're building. curious how coupons work, can i set them to expire after a few days?
@mituhin thanks Paul! coupons are built in, you just ask for one like "add a LAUNCH20 code for 20% off". checking with the team on expiry dates and will confirm here shortly
@mituhin yes all customizable
@mituhin thanks Paul, big fan of Flowmapp too! and closing the loop on expiry: yes, like Yuj said it's customizable — just describe the coupon ("LAUNCH20, 20% off, expires in 3 days") and it's set up
@mituhin an expiry date, a usage limit, first-time buyers only: just describe the rule and it's built in
I'll share this with my builder friends
@shushantlakhyani thank you Shushant, really appreciate it! would love to hear what your builder friends think 🙏
@shushantlakhyani thank you so much!
@shushantlakhyani thank you Shushant, that genuinely helps more than any ad we could run 🙏 tell them to come yell at us in the comments if anything's confusing
@shushantlakhyani thank you Shushant 🙌 happy to help any of them get their first app live
Congrats on the launch! Is there a sample app I can try out that is already baked with Floot?
@charlestehio thanks Charles! easiest way is to try it yourself: connect Floot in ChatGPT or Claude, ask it to "build a small shop with a $9/month plan" and test the checkout with a test card in preview. takes a few minutes. happy to share a demo app too if you'd like
@charlestehio We made a merch store for ourselves: https://merch.floot.com
@charlestehio the merch store Yuj linked is a real Floot app, checkout and all — that's probably the fastest way to see it live. thanks Charles! 🙌
@charlestehio if you'd rather see the code, ask Floot to build the merch-store version for you and read through what it made. It takes a few minutes
cool idea , does it support google antigravity too ?
@vinitvr thanks Vineeth! right now it works in ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor, plus floot.com. Floot connects as an MCP connector, so tools that support MCP are on our radar. which one do you build in most?
@vinitvr Yes, any agents! We don't have a presence on their plugin store yet but you can connect it following the instruction here: http://floot.com/integrations/mcp#others
@vinitvr thanks Vineeth! like Yuj said, anything that speaks MCP can connect — if you try it in antigravity I'd genuinely love to hear how it goes
@vinitvr any MCP client works, so Antigravity should connect with the instructions Yuj linked. Ping me if anything breaks
