FlightsGPT - Because clicking 60 times to find a flight is so 2020.

by
It takes 12 clicks on average to find a flight - and the interfaces are often clunky and jittery. Why not just use a single sentence instead? Type your query into FlightsGPT, and you'll get redirected to popular booking platforms.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 We built FlightsGPT because we got tired of clicking 100 things just to find how much it costs to fly from once city to another. So we wanted to share it with the world! Just enter your query & see the prices, times, airlines, and more - no more endless tabs. Try it out, and let us know what you think! Happy travels 🌎

It’s brilliant how you’ve simplified multi-step flight searches into just one query. How do you tackle those tricky or complex search requests (like “cheapest flights to Europe in December under $500”)?

Evgeny Astapov

@noah_ortiz Thanks, Noah! I wouldn't call it too brilliant, AI wrappers are not too hard to come by :)

Working on it! It's the #1 requested feature so far, to have date ranges for departures / arrivals instead of fixed dates (& multiple arrival / departure airports).

Nathaniel Cook

How do you choose which booking platforms to send users to? Is there a ranking system or some personalization at play?

Evgeny Astapov

@nathaniel_cook2 it mainly directs you to Google flights at the moment but I'm looking to refine that :)

Jackson Wells

FlightsGPT is a smooth experience but how do you manage vague requests like cheap flights for a weekend getaway? What’s your strategy for ensuring the results are relevant and bookable?

Evgeny Astapov

@jackson_wells Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I'm looking forward on expanding on that soon - for instance, by having a it look up flights from your airport of choice to 'the rest of the world' and just sorting by the price. Does that sound like something that would help? 🙌

Mia Arthur

Great potential! Does FlightsGPT keep track of previous searches or allow users to tweak them after being redirected?

Evgeny Astapov

@mia_arthur Yes it does! Give it a shot, you can always ask for an adjustment of dates, airports, etc. - and it will fetch the flights with the newest prices.

Woody Robles

Flight prices can change based on timing, cookies and other factors. How do you make sure the redirection experience remains competitive and accurate without leading users astray?

Evgeny Astapov

@woody_robles Great question! As you can see, the results are shown from Google Flights - so if you can find a low price there, you can find it via our chat, too.

Olivia Johnston

Can I search just by budget, like flights under $300?

Evgeny Astapov

@olivia_johnston1 Already in, coming in the next update 💪

Paul Kunnil

Just, just, thank you my guy for building this. I hate trying to find the most optimal flight to go back to India and have to book multiple locally to make it home and check all the micro deets.

This just makes it so much easier 💜

Evgeny Astapov

@paul_kunnil Thanks for your kind words Paul! Hopefully it comes in useful again someday.

Erliza. P

The UX revolution we needed - reducing cognitive load by eliminating dropdown menus and calendar clicks. Tested with complex multi-city itineraries and the accuracy rivals manual search.

Simas Gradeckas

Tried it. Feels real smooth. Using it next time I'm booking flights. lfg 🫡

Evgeny Astapov

@simasgradeckas Thanks man! Looking forward to the things you'll launch ;)
