Honest things you should know before you buy anything: your phone must be eSIM capable and carrier unlocked (some region models ship with eSIM disabled), eSIM is data only so keep your normal SIM for calls and bank OTPs, install before you fly, and for mainland China you must set it up fully before you land because the activation page is blocked once you arrive.
