secret: I got my avatar designed on fiverr about ~4-5 years ago.
Why'd you go with the crazy eyes and mouth? You're one of the most calm and thoughtful people I ever met.
because I thought of myself as quite crazy, with wacky ideas etc. - but you're right, it's probably no longer very fitting, as nowadays I don't have as much energy and am a bit more relaxed
Similar to - trying this now! :)
Thanks for the mention Bram. This is nothing more than a clone of our basic technology.
I was thinking the same thing. The FG team has been in this space for a few years now and has a phenomenal community.
Cool to see that Fiverr built it's first app around one vertical. Definitely love the caricatures :)
I didn't expect Fiverr to build an app like this. It's an interesting example of app constellations being applied to marketplaces. Why did you build for this use case (drawing faces), ?
We love surprising and delighting. Glad you like the app -- have you ordered your new face yet? ;-) Fiverr Faces is part of a bigger push to strengthen Fiverr's position across different verticals, beginning with creative design (it's one of our most popular categories on our mobile app). Looking to shine a light on other categories soon.
sure you are checking into logo generators/creator also, guess there's a huge market there ;)
Any chance for an Android version? :)
We currently have no plans to offer Fiverr Faces on Android but as we develop future apps, we’ll consider introducing them across a variety of platforms.
Fiverr Faces uses curated collection of top artists to create quickly designed, high-quality caricatures in artistic style of their choice. Fiverr Faces is a simple, easy-to-use package of the services Fiverr has been offering for five years.
Really smart.. I'm sure companies could create services just based off the demand of what's popular in Fiverr.
Are the artists paid?
Sure! Our artist set their prices and get paid :)
At first I wasn't sure what this had to do with Fiverr, but I think I got it now. It lets me hire artists for 5 bucks to turn my photo into a cartoon. Is that right ?
yes, but not for $5. prices are starting at $10 :) but it's now free for the first 500 orders...
Great niche and looks quite fun, kudos. I have tried to get a face but it did not work. To get the free face I understand that you need to share a link, but even after doing so (I tried messenger and twitter) nothing happens and I have the message "You have no active orders". Any idea of what is going on?
I am experiencing the same thing. Server overload?
Can u please try the Facebook share? Sorry for the inconvenience…
Hmm. Noticing a lot of companies working on side projects/websites to hack additional visibility on PH
If PH is an incentive for companies to create fun, quirky, or useful side projects then I'm all for it!
