FAQPopup - Maximize conversion rates with proactive FAQs

Your website's FAQ page at the bottom is a goldmine of information for your visitors. However 80% of visitors will lose interest before they even reach it. Answer their questions proactively to turn visitors into customers.

Hey folks, Dave here. I'm an ex-coder at a 9-5, and now I'm sharing my entrepreneurial journey. I built a lot of websites over the years, and I realised an exciting pattern. Ever notice how visitors of your site seem to ask the same questions over and over, even though you've got a perfectly good FAQ section? Yeah, me too. Turns out, burying it at the bottom of the page is not the most effective thing in the world. This not only effects user experience, but conversion rates as well. A good FAQ section has the power to turn a sceptic into a loyal customer. So, I built this lively little widget that instead of playing hide & seek, pops up and says "Psst, got a sec? Here's what everyone else is asking." Once your curious visitors click to expand this magical widget, it will function as a little knowledge base, where they can quickly find al the answers they wanted to know about your product. If they're feeling chatty, they can even slide into your DMs right then and there. The best part? You can dress this widget up however you like. Pink polka dots? Sure! Corporate chic? You got it! It's more customizable than your coffee order at Starbucks. Let's bring your website visitors the answers they need to convert. So head to faqpopup.com and I encourage you to have some fun and release your inner child on the widget designer. 😸

@david_karolyi Loved the demo video! Congrats on the launch, it's a super useful alternative to the more expensive chatbots - and probably does just as good a job!
David Karolyi
@peterclaridge Appriciate your words. That was my thinking as well. I hated how those expensive monthly fee widgets looked on my site, and has this generic "big corporate" vibe to them.

Hi, Dave. Great idea. Congrats on the launch. Do you have any numbers from A/B testing about conversion rates from the landing page? Although FAQ is essential, popups can distract users from marketing mambo jumbo that originally should increase, if not C1, but at least conversion to registration.
David Karolyi
@hr6134 Great question. I'm testing the results on my other pages as well. A lot depends on the quality of the QA content itself. I saw a decrease in bounce rates and extra time spent on the page, but will need some more traffic to have definite numbers. Once thats done I'll post the results as a before, after on faqpopup landing page. One other idea I'm toying with is to build analytics right into the widget: like engagement, most popular questions etc.. That should also help to give empiric results on the efficacy.

I love this product! Thx David, it's sooo good, and the price is awesome!! I am trying to find a better tool alternative to gleap or intercome they are all too expensive for a small product:) FAQ popup is a great choice!
David Karolyi
@liu_alex1 I'm very happy you like it 😮‍💨 I'd be happy to hear more about your projects! In case you need help or information please shoot.

@david_karolyi Sure! https://www.producthunt.com/prod... I'll launch soon! I believe we'll need faq popup after launch!
David Karolyi
@liu_alex1 would be happy to integrate it for you

Congratulations on the launch @david_karolyi! Nice demo and the product looks great 👍. The questions that show up automatically, are they contextual? Can we customize so that we can pick what faqs to highlight in different pages? For example: when I am in pricing page, I would ideally like they show pricing related FAQs.
David Karolyi
@madospace Appriciate your question! Yes you can create a different set of FAQs for different pages. The order of the FAQs will determine which questions if any, will popup on your page. If you need help setting it up, I'm always happy to help.

Hey David, How customizable is the FAQPopup widget in terms of design and functionality? Can it be integrated with existing CRM or helpdesk systems for better customer support? Congrats on the launch!
David Karolyi
@kyrylosilin Regarding the design: You can customize all the colors and labels on the widget. Regarding functionality: You can customize if you want popups or not. how many you want to show (0? 2? all?). The timing of each popup (when does it first show and for how long each). You can also enable/disable the "Ask us" functionality. No integration to CRMs yet, it will send an email for you and you can respond. But CRM support is something I'd love to build in once I have more understading of the use cases. Which one do you use? What's your current workflow?
Kyrylo Silin
@david_karolyi I don't use anything at the moment. Thank you for your response!

this is sick; most of the time, people are looking around to find the answer to their questions, and having a FAQ page on your site can help increase your conversion - right now, with your conversion pop-up, you are making it a no-brainer for them not to make a purchase decision 🔥
David Karolyi
@yniijia hahaha, Tony you got my frustration fully 😄 I recently built a product where this was the exact issue. Everyone praised the FAQs, at least the few people who actually scrolled down. Pushing them to all users is a game changer in that case.
Tony Fiston 🥑
@david_karolyi yup, and with a bit of AI conversation you can even push the sale in the chat, maybe even do the checkout in chat too for the lazy folks 👀

Hey, congrats on the launch! It would be cool to have an option to auto-generate the FAQ based on the connected content (Notion, text, etc.). This could also make it simpler to keep the FAQ up to date since it could automatically regenerate it from time to time. Great idea and product.
David Karolyi
@semanser Thats a great idea, thank you! That would make it super easy to get started.
JaredL
Wow, this is very interesting. So after replying to the email, will the answer also be synchronized to the FAQ? It would be even better if semantic search is supported!
David Karolyi
@jaredl Replying to the message will just reply to the customer's email address. So it's not happening through FAQ Popup. What you proposing is a really interesting idea. Users could find all the questions ever asked from you. This is not part of the platform yet, but I will steal this idea haha

Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing! The ability to quickly set up a system in no time at all without any coding skills is truly impressive. I'm so excited to explore how this technology could impact the usability of your website. This capability to achieve complex automation without any programming is undoubtedly a godsend for us non-technical users. I'm confident it will greatly enhance our work efficiency and productivity. I can't wait to experience the system firsthand and see what kind of changes and optimizations it can bring to our business. This is definitely a solution worth delving into and trying out! I'm really looking forward to seeing the impact it could have. This sounds like a game-changer that I'm eager to get my hands on.
David Karolyi
@muzhou_chen Let me know if I can help integrate it to your sites or you have feedback!
Federico Zuluaga Knorr
Congratulations on this great product. Is it possible to link to other website pages in the answers? 😊
David Karolyi
@federico_zuluaga_knorr Appriciate it! Yes! Just paste a link to the answer, and it will be automatically formatted as a clickable link on the widget.
