Facebook Marketplace - Buy and sell with your local community. A Craigslist killer.

I think this is brillant ! First it makes it so much easier to sell things and trust will be much higher within your friends. From a strategic stand point for Facebook, I think they just launched a way to retain even more people on their app! Next will be job postings?

This will not kill off Craigslist one bit with the end users. It's the simplest system around and it drives leads consistently to my business . It an't gonna happen folks

Mixed feelings on this, it does look great but really not a fan of Facebook. Once its users find value in it, they will no doubt hold users to ransom for continuing to use it. I wonder how it will affect the groups dedicated to this - there is a load of them !

Timing seems right for this. People have abandoned eBay. Craigslist still has it's same problems.

Doesn't seem much different than the Buy and Sell groups functionality that already exists. https://www.facebook.com/salegroups
