How do you share passwords and API keys today?

I'm launching Encoder on Sept 29, and before that I'd like to understand how people actually handle this in real life.

When you need to send someone a password, an API key or a recovery code, what do you do?

Paste it in Slack/WhatsApp and hope for the best?

Use a password manager's share feature?
