Hi Product Hunt community, Eden is the consequence of a trip home to Seattle last year to visit my parents. During the trip, I saw how frustrated my parents had become with installing and repairing technology in their home, with issues ranging from finding convenient and trustworthy help for TV mounting to fixing the weak wifi signal in certain rooms. When I came back to the Bay, I noticed how tech frustrations were widespread even amongst my peers, especially with the proliferation of cracked iPhone screens and confusing smart home devices. With the vision of solving all technology frustrations felt at home by our friends and family, my co-founders @lambdakai, @GuyMorita, @susiexsun and I decided to found Eden, which provides on-demand tech help for consumers. We have recruited some of the world's best tech pros, and we are now serving customers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. What we are looking for on Product Hunt is feedback. @joe_du_bey -- Love the concept, will send my parents on over when you expand out to Boston! Out of curiosity -- It seems like Best Buy's big advantage with Geek Squad is that they have major built-in distribution at the point of sale. What's your strategy for getting distribution? Can you get in front of customers at that point of sale too?

@eglyman -- Thanks, Eric! We are fans of Paribus as well :) Good question re: distribution. For installation of devices, Best Buy is a huge asset for Geek Squad. In fact, this positional advantage has likely made them a bit complacent, which explains the 2 star ratings on Yelp! for their services. In contrast, we will be particularly sharp at the repair and support activities, which naturally flow through organic growth as opposed to point-of-sale triggers :)

@joe_du_bey Makes sense. Keep the ratings up and I think you'll do awesome there. I guess what I'm getting at is that other competitors (Fry's, HH Gregg, ABT, Costco) -- even some local store managers, might want you in there as their own go-to Geek Squad offering. If not them (and your ratings stay high), their customers certainly would. Just think you guys might be able to do something interesting there. In any case, great to learn about you guys. @eglyman -- hey Eric, its a great point. With the secular trend of the shift of purchasing from big box to e-commerce, I think the Best Buy funnels of the future will be online or via app. We are paying close attention to how to become the brand champion for those funnels in the future, which I think starts with exceptional quality and affordable price. Thanks for your thoughts here! Interesting questions + ideas.

@darrennix -- thanks Darren! Eden matches you to the right Tech Pro in the background -- we find most people don't want to or don't know how to review qualifications of Tech Pros. Our experience is more like Uber than TaskRabbit.
