Why are e-signature tools still subscription-based?

Most e-signature platforms charge monthly per user, even if you only send a handful of documents.

With E-Signing.io, we’re trying a different approach: pay only for what you actually use — signatures, SMS, OTP verification and workflows.

I’m curious: Would usage-based pricing make you switch from your current e-signature provider? And what would stop you from switching?
