Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Facundo, founder of DUFIT. Training alone is the #1 reason people quit — and finding someone with your level, schedule and location usually means digging through WhatsApp groups. So we built DUFIT: it matches you with real people nearby by sport, level, area, schedule and goal, and lets you chat in-app before meeting up. It's especially handy for: 🏋️ a HYROX doubles partner 🏃 someone at your pace to run with 🤸 box buddies for CrossFit 💪 a consistent gym partner We started with HYROX, running, CrossFit and gym, focused on Spain for now (iOS live, Android coming — free to start). I'd love your honest feedback: what would actually make you show up and train with someone new? And which sport or city should we grow next? 🙌

honestly the matching idea sounds great but a safety thing would be helpful, like verified checkmarks or a rating system after sessions so you know who's actually reliable before meeting up

Really good call, and it's the thing I think about most — this is an app where two strangers end up meeting in person.

Where we are today: you can't be messaged out of nowhere. Chat only opens after you've both liked each other, so there's no cold DM surface. And you can block or report anyone from their profile or from the chat itself.

What you're describing goes further than that, and you're right that it's the missing piece. A rating after a session is the one I keep coming back to — reliability is the real problem, more than safety in the scary sense. Most bad experiences aren't dangerous, they're someone who doesn't show up. Verification badges I'm more careful with: they're easy to make meaningless if the bar is just "uploaded a selfie".

Honest question back, since you clearly thought about this: would you trust a rating from someone with 2 sessions, or does it only start meaning something at 10+? That threshold is what I can't decide.

Tried the matching flow and it actually asked the right questions, like pace and which HYROX format you're training for. Felt way more useful than swiping randomly, will keep it on my phone.

Glad the questions felt right — pace and HYROX format were the two we argued about most internally, so that's good to hear.

Which city are you in? We're strongest in Spain, in Madrid, Salamanca right now, so I want to know where the gaps are.

the matching by sport and level actually feels useful, not just swipe blindly. chatted with a runner near me in like two minutes, going to try a session this week.

"Not swiping blindly" is exactly what we were going for, so thanks.

Did the session with the runner actually happen? Curious what got in the way if not — that step from match to actually meeting up is the one we understand least.
