I have been a mechanical design engineer for nine years and every place I have worked has had difficult to use legacy drawings. This was personal software for quite some time before I polished it up a bit and thought that other engineers in similar positions might benefit from this as much as I have. The latest version uses OCR to pull important information from the drawings automatically and build a useable database in far less time than manually sifting through the drawings and setting up spreadsheets to track the hierarchy.
