Draft, approve, send. Is the human-in-the-loop model the right default for AI GTM actions?
There is a design decision underneath every AI GTM tool that does not always get made explicit.
Option A: AI runs actions autonomously. You review logs after.
Benefit: maximum throughput.
Trade-off: mistakes happen before you can catch them.
Option B: AI prepares actions, queues for approval, executes after sign-off.
Benefit: you still have the decision, AI handles the execution.
Trade-off: requires trusting AI with write access to your tools.
Option C: AI advises. Humans decide and execute.
Benefit: full control, AI does the thinking.
Trade-off: you are still doing all the execution manually.
My current thinking: for anything that reaches a customer or spends real money, Option B is the right default. Not because AI cannot get it right, but because the cost of a mistake at scale is not proportional.
What is your team's actual preference, and has that preference changed after a specific experience?
