macOS has no Dock profiles. docklayout saves the Dock you arranged, folders and spacers included, and puts that row back from a menu bar icon. Size, autohide, and hot corners stay as they are. npx github:nicolas-webdev/docklayout

I got tired of one Dock trying to be every kind of work. macOS still will not save a Dock layout. I wanted three on this Mac: a full row, a shorter one, and a tight one for when I need to focus. Dragging icons back and forth was the whole problem. docklayout snapshots the Dock you already arranged. Apps, folders, stacks, and spacers, in the order you left them. Switching restarts the Dock for a fraction of a second. Icon size, autohide, and hot corners stay put. The menu bar icon lists what you have saved. Click one. Save Current Dock… stores whatever is on screen. Install, on Apple silicon: npx github:nicolas-webdev/docklayout It is free and MIT licensed. The same command works from the terminal after that: docklayout save, docklayout load. Raycast can launch the same layouts, if you want that. The menu bar is the thing I actually use.
