Build the future of mobility with DIMO — the open developer platform for cars. Access live vehicle data, integrate AI, and create apps for drivers, fleets, and EVs. Open-source, fast, and community-driven.
Hey everyone 👋
James here, one of the drivers behind DIMO Build.
We believe cars should be as open to developers as smartphones. Right now, most vehicle APIs are locked away by OEMs, making it hard for innovators to create new experiences for a $100B+ industry.
DIMO Build flips that model — it’s open, transparent, and community-driven. You can spin up apps that tap into real vehicle data in minutes, whether you’re experimenting with AI copilots, EV range apps, fleet tracking, or creative games like “Pokémon GO for cars”.
We’d love feedback from the PH community:
1. What would you build if you had direct access to car data?
2. Which AI or mobility use cases do you think have the most potential?
Thanks for checking us out 🚗⚡
really appreciate you’re making car data open for devs—finally, building car apps doesn’t have to be a nightmare! Any plans to help indie devs monetize their creations here?
@cruise_chen we have a grants program to help get indie devs started and a huge community of builders to assist you with ideation, let’s connect if you’re up to something!!

Love seeing an open platform for cars. I’ve started to realize how complicated it is to manage multiple cars with different apps.
@tapatingo The developer network is what most consumers overlook! This launch will help businesses and developers understand better how they can and should make use of vehicle data, properly and elegantly :)
Congrats on ur launch! Excited to see what the dev community builds.

Congrats James and DIMO team! Data is way underutilized across the fleet industry - there's incredible potential with security monitoring, reporting, and ops management when you have easy access to real-time data. It's exciting to watch the DIMO team innovate!

good idea, about 100 dimo a wee with my plan, happy do seemore
We've added an "Upvote Offer" promotion code in case anyone is interested in getting their vehicles connected. With more vehicles connected, the data collection expands and drives developers and businesses to build better app experiences for users - it's a full cycle :)
Love the open platform approach, being able to prototype car-connected apps without waiting on OEMs is a huge unlock. Privacy model looks solid too, especially with that JWT-based consent setup.

@christyfea not only being able to manage different cars but also to offer comparable experiences across the board!
Vehicle data and privacy together is such a crucial pain point you're solving
DIMO pays you for driving. Fantastic data collection and insights into driving behavior.
