What a great design!
I've used Dia and it's... pretty.
I'm trying and failing to understand why someone would pay a subscription for it, however, when there's far more powerful and useful functionality in Chrome + a frontier model sub for the same price.
Use Dia every day since beta, but I still don’t get the strategy. I just want to plug in my own ChatGPT or Claude there with my context and chat history....
@dimabraven isn’t this Firefox’s strategy? what do you like better about Dia than Firefox (or Chrome? or Edge?)?
as someone who’s enjoyed using this as my primary browser on Mac nearly every day since it’s been released to early birds, I don’t get the feature split between free and $20/month.
why would anyone use this without at least AI chat about open tabs? why would anyone pay without getting an iOS version?
at the very least it needs a lower paid cost of entry than ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot, between $8-12/month.
what, again, was the point of being acquired by Atlassian if that’s not funding free or below entrenched competitor entry pricing?
I have been using browsers, so there are reasons to pay for a browser? I want to know more
I really like Dia and use it daily - pretty bummed they're taking away all AI features for the free plan which I also use regularly but also asking the question: why would I pay for this when I can switch to Chrome for free? I mostly use Dia for the UX because I like the aesthetic and the side tab implementation and archiving but I just don't see myself paying for it
I use Dia as my default browser, I like the fact that they have a chat included.
Why would I pay for a browser? I think $20 is way to much.
