Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Elior. I work with Mirhad (), who builds Declutr, on the site and the marketing. The problem is boring and everyone has it: a Downloads folder with 600 files and a Desktop you can't see anymore because of the clutter. Most tools either want you to spend an evening writing rules, or send your files to an AI on a subscription. Declutr does the simple thing well: pick a folder, click once, and every file goes into a folder by type. Don't like the result? One Undo puts everything back, so you can try it on your real Desktop. "rules not AI, never reads what's inside your files" is the right pitch for something touching your whole desktop, that's exactly the kind of tool I don't want guessing. question on the watched folders: if a browser is still writing a large download and Declutr's watcher fires early, does it wait for the file to finish or is there a risk of grabbing a half-downloaded file mid-move?
