I've analyzed all 2026 PH launches to find the best day to launch. Saturday wins, and it's not close
Wanted to share some data before our own launch, since this took a while to pull together and might save someone else a bad launch day pick.
We pulled every featured product across all 7 days of the week and looked at the median votes needed to break the top 5 and top 10 on each day.

Check the full report here: https://app.databox.com/shared/artifacts/41640d3f85ed09d738062b0147eaf082
The short version:
Saturday is the easiest day. Only 266 median votes to crack top 5, vs 360 on Wednesday. That's a 35% harder climb on the worst day vs the best.
Fewer people launch on weekends, which is the whole reason. Saturday sees about 3x fewer launches than Tuesday, so the bar drops at every single rank position, not just the top spot.
Wednesday is a trap. It has fewer total launches than Tuesday, but somehow needs MORE votes at every rank. Volume doesn't tell the whole story, whoever launches on Wednesday tends to bring a more engaged audience.
If weekends are off the table, Monday is your best weekday pick. 322 median votes vs Wednesday's 360.
We built this as an interactive report so you can actually check where your own vote count would land on any given day: https://app.databox.com/shared/artifacts/41640d3f85ed09d738062b0147eaf082
There's a slider on it, drag it to your expected vote count, and it shows you the likely rank for all 7 days side by side. Also a full breakdown table if you want to dig into a specific day.

Drop a comment with the day you'd guess is worst for launching (before scrolling back up to check), curious how many people get it right on instinct alone.

Like this kind of report? This was built entirely inside Genie, our AI analyst, just by prompting it. No dashboard building, no exporting to Slides. That's actually what we're launching in 2 weeks: Artifacts by Databox.

Interesting data. I think the bigger point is that launch day is not just a calendar decision, it’s a distribution decision. saturday may lower the vote bar, but the real question is whether your own audience is active enough that day to create momentum when the window opens.
Databox
@nipuntaneja That's a fair point, and honestly the more important one. A lower vote bar doesn't help if your own supporters aren't around to hit it. Saturday's advantage is structural (fewer products competing), but it only pays off if your audience shows up that day too.
Probably the real takeaway: use the data to know what bar you're aiming for, then pick the day based on when your own network is actually active.

@zigapotocnik Votes does not matter and bring no value if your product is not featured!
Databox
@istiakahmad 100%, being featured is mandatory to hit any of the top spots
How did you obtain all the data for analysis in 2026?
Databox
@lexi_morgan Connected the Product Hunt data source via the Custom integrations feature in Databox, it pulls in daily launch data automatically. Once that's live, I just asked Genie to analyze it and build the report. No manual pulling or spreadsheet work on my end.
@zigapotocnik that is incredible! So once you set it up you get live data every day? How long did it take to connect to this source?
Databox
@lexi_morgan Yeah, once it's set up it just pulls fresh data every day on its own. Setup itself took a few minutes, connect the source, pick what to track, done.

@sabir_hussain15 Not yet, no. We're actually going with a weekday for this launch since our user base needs instant engagement early on, weekends tend to be slower for us in terms of who's around to jump in right away. Saturday's lower vote bar is tempting, but if your own audience isn't active that day, the bar doesn't matter much.
