We're really excited to share our Databar Chrome Extension with the Product Hunt community today. In a few words, this extension can scrape any website with just a few clicks. Simply select a value you want to collect and the extension will transform the web page into a clean spreadsheet, which you can then send to your Databar account and enrich further using our library of 1500+ connectors.
This is amazing. Can it also scrape specific social media channel/page?
Thanks Sandro! Yes it can. The only real limitation it has right now is with lazy loading websites (which is an issue with most web scrapers), but we're working on solving that. If the extension doesn't work you can also use the core Databar platform, we have I believe over 50 social media scrapers that you can use out of the box
sounds like a powerful tool that can simplify data collection and analysis for many users. best of luck with the launch!
thank you Donald!
This could be really powerful if it works! I'll give it a try :D Thanks and congrats on the launch!
Thank you! If you run into any issues please let us know. :) We're making improvements every week. We also have a Discord community where you can share bugs & ideas if you'd like.
That’s a blast! Is this free for now, or will it be free forever? That’s a great tool to add to my arsenal
the extension will be free forever!
This is really helpful! Thank you for sharing.
thank you! Hope you find it useful!
Congrats David!
thank you!
I love it. I'm already on a premium plan and it's been great so far. The guys are listening to me as their customer and rapidly evolving. It's 100% worth your try.
thanks for all your feedback! Thanks to users like you we do what we do :)
thank you for your support Danil! It's thanks to users like you that we do what we do. :)
Looks pretty intuitive to me, and just because I grew up with spreadsheets, such an app makes a lot of sense, love consuming and analyzing data sets with spreadsheets
thanks Dmitry! Great to hear your feedback
Congrats on the launch! I'm curious what you guys are using under the hood for scraping, it works super well!
thanks Shreyas! It was really just a process of trial and error. :) I wrote in an earlier comment that the extension doesn't work on all lazy loaded sites but that should be solved in the next couple weeks also.
