Should educational word games show sources during play or after the answer?
I’m testing a learning-design choice in Crypto Term Game. Each board groups 16 crypto, finance, and AI terms into four themes, and the learning pages now add applied examples and primary-source links.
Showing sources immediately may improve trust, but it can interrupt the puzzle and reveal too much. Hiding them until after a solved group keeps play cleaner, but may make the explanation feel less credible.
For an educational vocabulary game, when would you want source links?
• In hints before guessing
• After each solved group
• Only on the glossary / learn page
I’m leaning toward a short source note after each solved group, with the full trail one click away. Curious what other makers and learners prefer.

No token picks. No price calls. Just vocabulary practice.
