For technical vocabulary, is one example better than a longer definition?

I’m refining the learning pages behind Crypto Term Game. After a player solves a group, each term gets a plain-English definition; newer guides also add an applied example and a comparison with a nearby concept.

The constraint is attention: too little context feels shallow, but a mini textbook breaks the flow.

For unfamiliar terms such as redemption queue, cross-encoder, or cache hit rate, what would help you remember the concept?

- One concrete example

- A side-by-side comparison

- A short source trail

- All three, shown only after the puzzle

I’d value feedback from people building educational tools or onboarding technical users.
