@tomcosman glad to hear that, hope thats the case. That's also why we made this free in hopes that any/everyone can get value from it

@dennishegstad@tomcosman Does it really work at the moment? I would like to use the link, but I can't go to the site for some reason. If someone can answer me and drop the link, I would be very grateful to you. So far, I have only used such services https://www.dontpayfull.com/. I like this idea with cashback, as it is beneficial both for the store and for customers since everyone saves (someone on advertising, and someone on purchases). I would not refuse another such good offer since I am always open to new things, especially those that can save my money. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Wow!! This is the best thing to happen to ecommerce marketers in quite some time! I've been advertising on podcasts and influencers for our brand (MVMT) since like 2014...and coupon code leaks were always the biggest headache in the world. I had to develop entire systems and processes to help avoid the leaks and to reconcile data when a code inevitably leaked. The long term solution ended up being caving in to the extortionists (retailmenot, honey, etc.) and giving them their own code(s) with the agreement that they would never post any other codes on our store page. Really thrilled about this service - just signed up.
@ethanframe glad you enjoy! we may be developing a free app for this to create rules and basically do everything you just mentioned as a manual and tedious pain point

@dennishegstad Love it - well, happy to connect and share some some thoughts and explain a little about the internal makeshift tools I've built on my end (that goes beyond being notified if the code is leaked).
I will definitely try this out! Have had a lot of trouble with coupon sites sharing our coupon codes. Not at least the sites that share our affiliate's coupon codes 🤦♂️ This is something I wish existed YEARS ago!
@mkaroumi exactly Marcus! Imagine you have an influencer campaign where your deal is structure to pay 10% commission to the influencer based on their coupon code. Now that coupon code leaks to Honey/WikiBuy/RetailMeNot and you're giving away 10% commission to an influencer for a leaked code! Throwing away margin for nothing.
That's one of the reason we built CouponScout because we got feedback from LiveRecover customers asking if we could 'let them know when their coupon leaks', bam! feedback -> product -> launch :)
Hey @dennishegstad ! Congrats on the launch, pretty great idea!
I do have some technical questions though since the website is quite minimal :).
- Which coupon pages are you screening? Is this focusing on US coupon pages or e.g. also European ones? It would be great if you could add a list somewhere.
- How often are you checking these coupon pages? Just wondering how you deal with this massive task?
Thanks & Well done!
@fabian_kutschera thanks fabian! we're checking honey right now but plans to integrate wikibuy, retailmenot and potential others down the line. right now we're checking for coupons at midnight and noon, 2x per day, thich will likely change to 4x per day.
Having worked with a ton of brands that run into issues with private coupons getting blasted out and sometimes abused across Honey, RetailMeNot and the like, this a tool to watch.
It's free, which makes it even better.
Other folks in the eCommerce, D2C brand space...are you running into coupon abuse as much as I have been?
