Building CounterWise: a tool that tells you if you should negotiate your rent renewal

I'm launching CounterWise in about 12 hours. It's a free tool that helps renters figure out whether they actually have room to negotiate before signing a lease renewal.

The idea started from a simple frustration: your landlord sends a new rent price, and you have no idea if it's fair or padded.

CounterWise pulls market rent data, gives you a negotiation score, a recommended counteroffer, and even drafts the negotiation email for you. No account required.

A few things I'd love feedback on before launch:

• Have you ever tried to negotiate a rent renewal? What made it hard?

• Does a "negotiation score" feel useful, or is there a better way to frame it?

• Anything you'd want to see in the tool that isn't obvious from the name?
