Commonplace - Save and share quotes from anything you read or hear

by
We're constantly consuming more information than we can remember. Commonplace makes it easy to capture meaningful quotes from anything you read or hear - from articles and books to podcasts and conversations. Organize everything in one library with original sources and custom collections, then share quotes anywhere as beautiful, interactive previews that preserve their original context.

The process of saving and sharing meaningful ideas is too time-consuming. I'm constantly reading articles, listening to podcasts, or reading a book, and think "I want to write this down" or "I want to share this" - but capturing an idea is usually just tedious enough that it never happens. The result is a forgotten note, a screenshot with no context, or more often than not… nothing at all. I wanted to make capturing and sharing ideas feel as natural as bookmarking a web page - capture the idea from wherever you consume it, organize it in one place, all without ever needing to open the app. Once ideas are saved, sharing them is something interactive and conversational. One of my biggest inspirations was how products like Substack treat "Restacking" as interactive content (a beautiful quote that links to the original article), or how X externally shares tweets as something both interactive and consumable (a link preview that is the tweet itself). Commonplace is my attempt at building this experience for everything you read and hear. Its still very early, and I'd genuinely love to hear feedback - what works, what doesnt, and what you'd add. Cheers!
