Meet ColorHuddle – a free collection of 11 hand-crafted, ready-to-use color palettes with a live landing page example.
Simply click on any element on the page to copy its color 🌈
Hey everyone!
I am super excited to share my first independent project. ColorHuddle is a free collection of 11 hand-crafted color palettes that you can use right away. No need to know design or color theory – simply pick the palette you like and apply it to your designs.
The idea for this project came to me like a lot of good ideas. I was looking for a tool like this, and I didn’t find it. So I decided to make it myself.
The biggest challenge for me was that I’ve never coded before. So I had to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from scratch in the process. It was fun.
Overall, the project took me a few months to design and build. I am really glad that I didn’t drop it mid-way. On to the next one! 🙂
Hope that this tool will save you an hour or two.
Cheers!
PS: These awesome illustrations were made by Pablo Stanley.
PPS: Rumors say that you can find a hidden chocolate cookie somewhere on colorhuddle.co. I wonder if it’s true though 🤔
Hey!
the project looks super cool & is pretty useful.
But the color picker is running throughout the site, I can't click on any buttons rather it is picking the button color.
Can you have a look into it.
@rohaan411 Hey Rohaan, thank you for the valuable feedback!
I decided to make all buttons and links unclickable so you can copy their color as well. Perhaps, I should make this mechanic more obvious? Let me know if you have any suggestions 🙂
@rohaan411@elisey Hey, I love the project as well, but I think the problem is that your linkedin and dribble buttons do actually have a link to them, but they can't be clicked
@alexandra_kazakova2 Thanks Alexandra! Do you mean like in the form of a plugin? I've never thought of it, but it sounds like a neat idea)
I've also posted a source design file to Figma Community a while ago, check it out!

Loved the site and the logo is so yummy! but I am facing the same frustration as @rohaan411 - that things seems like CTAs but can't be clicked, especially the dribble and linkedin
Well done, congrats on the launch of your first project. A random suggestion: It would be cool to add a "custom" color theme that the user could edit. Like, we could use it to test out different color schemes. Might also provide you with some interesting data behind the scenes re: what types of colours people tend to be choosing....how it is changing over time... etc.
@caseyrovinelli Thank you for such valuable feedback, Casey!
I've always treated this project more as a collection of pre-made palettes, than as a full-fledged design tool. This is why I decided to not to implement some features like custom colors.
But since I've received so much awesome feedback, I will definitely add more cool stuff in the future 🔥
Awesome! Congrats on the launch! ^_^ ColorHuddle is an amazing tool that can save a lot of time, and be super effective! Also I must say that the design of the platform is so cool, illustrations are beautiful! ^_^
