Hi everyone, Code4Startup is a codeschool with new approach of how you learn to code. Other codeschools mainly rely on theory but here we focus on product or app that we teach students how to build like AirBnb, TaskRabbit, Medium, KichStarter... That we called POA - Product Oriented Approach. This approach helps our students gain the confidence to build and launch their own web and mobile apps using languages like Python, Ruby on Rails and AngularJS you name it.

@leotrieu Congrats Leo! Awesome Work!
Leo Trieu
@wrightph Thanks Phil, didn't know that you're an iOS Developer!
Archie Hicklin
@leotrieu Wonderful stuff Leo, I 💕 you and I 😻 code4startup
Leo Trieu
@suparchie Thanks a lot and C4S loves you too :D

Hi all, thanks for setting a cozy place up here for us on Product Hunt. :) As Leo mentioned we focus not just on gaining language competency (we're fans of this too!) but BUILDING something REAL. A lot of our students spend hours on other code schools and come here for this purpose -- to have launched apps on their hands. Shoot us any feedback we'd love that!
Josh Chen
this one is so awesome, but it will be better to use Stripe as payment outlet than paypal :D
Gillian Tee
@josh_jia_chen Agreed! See link below from Leo and we'll be having more Stripe integrations in future projects. :)
Leo Trieu
@josh_jia_chen We've already had a project to teach student how to integrate Stripe and its APIs. This one is Code4Startup clone. Yes, we cloned ourselves :) Check it out: http://bit.ly/1NHZmSc

@leotrieu lol, that's eating your own dog food to show how to clone yourself
Leo Trieu
@_jacksmith haha. There are a few C4S clones already out there but we're proud of that :)
Gillian Tee
@leotrieu @josh_jia_chen haha, we sure are :)
Braden Hamm
These courses are great. I love the focused approach to learning. For anyone interested I interviewed Leo about Code4Startup recently: http://makers.gumwall.com/2015/0...
Leo Trieu
@bradenhamm Thanks a lot for that great interview, Braden!

The v 1 hunt 7 months ago got over 1500 upvotes. This new update looks pretty cool, with some cool projects.
vinay kanamarlapudi
"Product oriented approach" absolutely loved the word .
Leo Trieu
@vinay32724 hell yeah :)
Sarthak Grover
Love the idea, I think I tried an online example a while back to mimic the AirBnB model but I ended up dropping it after I got stuck with no way of getting support around it. I'll be trying this out. Do you provide deployment guidance as well (as it pertains to the specific projects/technology stack?
Leo Trieu
@sarthakgrove We do have FREE course teaching you how to deploy app easily on Heroku with RoR so you can try at no cost. In our AirBnb, we don't provide that but the principle is the same and a lot of our students already have their final product LIVE! Yayyy!
Gillian Tee
@sarthakgrover The Medium course also shows how you can deploy an app on Meteor. It requires a PRO plan though.
David Lam
This is awesome. Excited to try out the new version. The POA to learning is so powerful!
Leo Trieu
@davlam_ Thanks David!
Dre Durr💡
I learned a lot from the first version. I'm interested in what the upcoming new projects will be.
Leo Trieu
@dredurr Thanks Deandre. Glad you found our codeschool helpful for your learning curve.
Gillian Tee
+1 to that -- thanks for the support @dredurr! There're a few upcoming projects (including Kickstarter and more) we're working on you can check out on our homepage.
Gökcan Degirmenci

Leo Trieu
@skylifee7 We're planning to have some projects for Mobile so don't worry :)
