I built this because I was tired of constantly scrubbing back and forth on YouTube. The platform lets you loop a full video, and some extensions allow looping a single segment — but I wanted something more flexible: the ability to loop multiple parts of a video and save them for later. Think of a lecture where you only care about a few explanations, or a music album uploaded as one video where you only want track 1 and track 3. With this extension, you can mark those intervals, loop them, and even create a “segment playlist” that reloads whenever you revisit the video. What’s new in this launch is that it not only loops but also remembers — your chosen portions are stored privately in your bookmarks. That way, you don’t need an account, syncing service, or third-party storage. Feature-wise, I’m proud of keeping it lightweight and privacy-friendly. Implementation-wise, I'm proud of navigating through the ad-interruption, and handling YouTube’s quirks such as SPA and furthermore late update of video metadata (after playback already begins). I should note that while it's not perfect, it does the job (for now).
